Please check back in a couple of days

Our goal is to raise public awareness of sustainability issues, to motivate the public to make changes, and to increase public awareness of their role in the broader issues. Many diverse groups are already working on sustainability issues. This event will draw these groups together to create a strong activist community, to include the public, the staff and exhibitors, under the umbrella of the festival. Sustainability requires a local, regional, and national solution. It is important to throw away political boundaries and include everyone in developing and implementing sustainable solutions. It must also be interesting and fun to attract the larger community to hear the message and to build support for public commitment for a sustainable future.

A great number of community groups are collaborating on this festival. The organizing council consists of members representing organizations such as Poulsbo Farmers Market, West Sound Conservation Council, SEED, Stillwaters Environmental Center, Kitsap Audubon Society, WSU Extension Kitsap County, Kitsap Citizens for Responsible Planning, Kitsap Conservation Voters, WA State Farmers Market Association, Kitsap community and Agricultural Alliance, and The New Old Time Chautauqua, as well as Kitsap County Commissioner Steve Bauer and one of the founders of the Oregon Country Fair plus a number of other groups and individuals.
